Cytokine-genetic therapy

About the method
Cytokine-genetic therapy
  • This is a unique approach to immunotherapy based on the use of recombinant cytokines, which makes it possible to activate the body’s own antitumor immunity.

  • CGT is compatible with all methods of cancer treatment. The therapy is entirely outpatient and does not necessarily require in-person clinic visits.

Advantages of CGT

Effectiveness: Clinical trials have shown disease control in 89% of patients
Safety: CGT is non-toxic. Subcutaneous injections with an insulin needle can be self-administered at home.
Support for palliative patients: CGT helps improve quality of life for patients receiving palliative and symptomatic care.
Compatibility: CGT is fully compatible with other treatments—chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy—enhancing their effectiveness.
Systemic antitumor action: Cytokines exert an antitumor effect not only on the primary tumor but also on distant metastases. When the lungs are involved, inhalation therapy is additionally prescribed.
Anti-recurrence therapy: The method reduces the risk of cancer recurrence by more than threefold.

Who is CGT suitable for?

For all patients who want to improve quality of life, reduce toxicity, and increase the effectiveness of their main treatment: chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and radiation therapy.

CGT can be used in combination with chemotherapy or as monotherapy, as an independent treatment method.
CGT is not used in the following conditions:
  • Tumors of the hematopoietic system (lymphomas, leukemias, multiple myeloma)
  • Thyroid tumors
  • Adrenal cortex tumors
  • Germ cell tumors
  • GISTs (gastrointestinal stromal tumors)

Who is NOT a candidate for (CGT)?

What results does CGT show?

  • The effectiveness of the main treatment (chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy) increases by 50–60% when combined with CGT.

  • 95% of patients experience an improvement in quality of life.

  • After 3–6 courses, 60% of patients were able to resume chemotherapy thanks to improved condition.

  • 89% of patients achieved disease control: stabilization of the tumor process or regression.

How does CGT work?

Cytokine-genetic therapy is based on administering recombinant cytokines—Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) and Thymosin alpha-1—which are signaling molecules.
  • In cancer patients, the body’s production of its own cytokines—particularly TNF—is reduced, and endogenous TNF is insufficient to resist the disease.
  • TNF and Thymosin alpha-1 increase the synthesis of Tumor Necrosis Factor. As a result, TNF molecules bind to TNF receptors on tumor cells, leading to tumor DNA damage and cell death.

What medications are used in CGT?

  • CGT uses recombinant cytokines with an improved formulation: Interferon-gamma, Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF), and Thymosin alpha-1. These agents help stimulate the body’s immune response to cancer cells.
  • All medications used in the clinic are licensed drugs registered with the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and included in the List of Vital and Essential Medicines for medical use .
The efficacy of the medications has been confirmed through four phases of clinical trials at the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology (FSBI “NMRCO” of the Russian Ministry of Health) and the N.N. Petrov National Medical Research Center of Oncology.
How many CGT courses are needed to achieve results?
  1. It is necessary to complete 3 CGT courses, repeat the TNF test, and undergo instrumental diagnostic studies (CT, MRI, PET-CT
  2. As early as after the second course, patients report an improvement in quality of life.
  3. After the sixth course, once stabilization and regression of the cancer are achieved, the patient is prescribed maintenance therapy.
