The head of the Center for Energy Balance in Cancer Prevention and Survival (USA), K. Beisen-Engquist, argues that one of the main enemies of a healthy liver is non-alcoholic fatty disease or obesity. To maintain a normal weight and potentially reduce the risk of developing liver cancer, you need to monitor your diet and follow simple rules of balance.
A balanced diet is a well-composed diet of the right, healthy foods, taking into account their quantity and proportions. In particular, to normalize liver function it is necessary:
- fruits and vegetables in large quantities, whole grains
- lean meat and beans
- skimmed milk
- a large number of fish
By the way, the American Liver Foundation notes that hydration is also key to liver health. Drinking water in sufficient quantities helps our internal organs do their job, and therefore contributes to the prevention and treatment of cancer.
